A hernia is the bulging or tearing of inside layers of the abdominal wall when it gets weakened. The abdomen’s inner lining presses through the weakened area to form a balloon-like bulging, causing sometimes few of intestine or abdominal tissue to push into this bulging space, resulting in severe pain and other serious symptoms.

Both sexes of all ages can suffer from hernias. Usually, there are two reasons for occurring hernias, one because of a natural weakening of abdominal wall or due to excessive strain on the abdominal wall by heavy lifting, weight gain, constant coughing, or difficulty with bowel movements or urination.
